About Caroline
Caroline Hoffman is a professional FEI dressage trainer and is a USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold medalist. She won the 2014 DASC Championship in Grand Prix Open and the DASC Championship. She has earned multiple Horse of the Year All Breed Awards with various horses, and in 2019, 2018 and 2017 she was the Andalusian World Cup overall Dressage Champion in all levels.
Caroline dedicates herself to every horse in her care. She keeps her program small and select, to exclusively train and focus as much attention on her horses and clients as possible.
Caroline is a native from Stockholm, Sweden. She began riding at a young age at the local riding academy called Säby (Järfälla Ryttarförening) with Karin Öhman. Her first time competing in dressage was when she was 7, and from then on, she knew that dressage would frame the rest of her life.
She then moved to the US to go to college in Virginia at Averett University to enroll in a unique equine program. She double-majored in Business and Equine Science and competed throughout college in dressage and three day eventing.
Working as an assistant trainer after college, she started to get requests for training and before she knew it, she had a barn full of horses! Caroline started working with multiple FEI horses, thanks to her “American mom," Jane Plant, who has supported Caroline since she started training professionally. Jane is still Caroline’s client today.
Caroline further advances her education with her coach, Sabine Schut-Kery, who she has trained with for over 15 years. She has her to thank for her development as a rider. She has also ridden with Jan Nivel, Debbie McDonald, Volker Brommann, Morten Thomsen, and Christine Traurig.
Caroline loves working with talented, young horses and bringing them through the levels. She looks forward to their progress and riding them down centerline.
